About Us

MHI NO-LIFT SOILED LINEN COLLECTION SYSTEM was created in year 2000 when a need became apparent at a local hospital to avoid injuries created by archaic soiled linen collection procedures.

MHI developed a No-Lift System for the hospital. After monitoring the benefits of the System for about a year, the hospital found that it had reduced injuries to zero in the collection of soiled linen. Workers Compensation Board of British Columbia was so impressed it financed the project to the tune of $147,000. Many health care facilities in Canada and the United States have implemented this system.

MHI have now adapted the No-Lift Soiled Linen Collection System to handle waste. This System is now being used in major theme parks, retirement communities and municipalities throughout Canada and the United States. The Ergo-Waste System provides the same cost saving and injury reduction as the No-Lift System has in healthcare facilities.

An integral part of the No-Lift and Ergo-Waste Systems is the MHI battery powered mover. The MHI mover is now being used in many other applications such as moving of shopping carts, wheelchairs, small aircraft, equipment, food service carts, luggage carts, plant nursery carts, etc.

Today MHI Systems Inc and MHI Systems (U.S.) Inc. have offices in Nanaimo, British Columbia and Bellingham, Washington as well as warehouses in Nanaimo, BC and Hayward, California.
